DJ KOMORIの最新ミックスCD「URBAN KLASSICS」が8月19日にリリースされる。

本作にはUB40、INCOGNITO、MARK MORRISON、デズリー、BRAND NEW HEAVIESといったUKアーティストのソウルクラシック全28曲を収録。90年代のクラブシーンを盛り上げたUKソウルの定番曲が、DJ KOMORI独自のセンスでコンパイルされている。

こういったミックスCDは、海外楽曲のライセンス獲得の難しさが大きな壁となるが、本作では一切の妥協を排した選曲が実現している。定番ソウルクラシックがここまで揃っているコンピレーションは異例と言っていいほど。ソウル入門編としても、当時を懐かしむアイテムとしても充実した1枚だ。
